When a casino cashier asks you to choose a deposit method, it is really asking two questions: which coin, and which network. USDT is the clearest example. The same dollar-pegged token exists on TRON (TRC-20), Ethereum (ERC-20), BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), Solana, TON and other blockchains. Each version lives on a separate network, and a transfer only arrives if you send on the network the receiving address belongs to.
This is why the deposit page shows a network selector and a different address for each option. If you copy the TRC-20 address but your exchange sends on another network, the funds do not reach the casino's account on the chain it is watching.
What happens next depends on the networks involved. Some combinations fail before they start: a TRON address begins with T and an Ethereum-style address begins with 0x, so most wallets simply refuse the transfer. The dangerous case is networks that share the same address format. Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain and several other chains all use 0x addresses, so a BEP-20 transfer to an address the casino only monitors on ERC-20 will go through on-chain and then not be credited. Recovery is sometimes possible because the casino controls the same address on both chains, but it is at the casino's discretion, often slow, and may carry a fee.
The rule is simple: choose the network first, then copy the address shown for that network, and make sure the sending side uses exactly the same one.
TRC-20 on TRON is the most widely accepted USDT network at crypto casinos and on P2P markets, which is why it remains the default choice for many players in Latin America and Africa. Confirmations usually take about a minute.
The cost depends on where you send from. If you withdraw from an exchange, you pay the exchange's own flat withdrawal fee, which it shows before you confirm. If you send from a self-custody wallet, the TRON network charges for the energy the transfer uses. After a governance vote in August 2025 cut the energy price, a USDT transfer from a wallet with no staked TRX burns roughly 6.5 TRX when the receiving address already holds USDT, and roughly 13 TRX when it does not. That is a few US dollars per transfer at recent TRX prices. You also need TRX in the wallet to pay it; a wallet holding only USDT usually cannot send unless it uses an energy-rental or gas-free service.
ERC-20 on Ethereum is accepted almost everywhere, but fees are paid in ETH and rise with network congestion. For small casino deposits, the fee can be a noticeable share of the amount, so it is usually the least practical option for everyday deposits.
BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain is cheap and fast, with fees paid in BNB, but fewer casinos offer it as a USDT deposit option. It is also the network most often confused with ERC-20 because the addresses look identical.
Whichever you use, always check the casino's minimum deposit per network. A transfer below the minimum may not be credited.
Solana has become a common casino deposit network. Transfers typically confirm within seconds and network fees are a fraction of a US cent. Among the casinos we review, BC.Game, Cloudbet, FairSpin and Winz.io are among those that list Solana as a payment method. You can send SOL itself or tokens issued on Solana, such as USDC and USDT, but check that the casino accepts the specific token on Solana and not only on another chain. Your wallet needs a small amount of SOL to pay fees even when you are sending a token.
TON, the blockchain linked to Telegram, has grown quickly because many people already hold crypto in the wallet built into Telegram. Fees are low and transfers are fast. Among the casinos we review, AkibaWin lists TON among its deposit options; for others, check the cashier, as support is less common than for TRC-20 or Solana.
The detail to watch on TON is the memo, also called a comment or tag. Some services, including many exchanges and some casinos, receive deposits for all users at one shared address and use the memo to identify whose deposit it is. If the deposit page shows a memo, you must include it exactly. If you leave it out, the transfer will arrive on-chain but will not be credited to your account automatically, and you will need to contact support with the transaction ID to have it assigned manually. If the deposit page shows a unique address and no memo field, none is needed.
The same memo rule applies to a few other networks, such as XRP, where the field is called a destination tag.
Regular Bitcoin transfers can take ten minutes to an hour to confirm, and fees rise when the network is busy. The Lightning Network is a payment layer built on top of Bitcoin that settles in seconds with routing fees that are usually a tiny fraction of the amount. A growing number of crypto casinos now offer it as a deposit option, but support is still far from universal, so check the cashier of the casino you use.
Lightning works differently from an address-based deposit. Instead of a reusable address, the casino generates an invoice: a long code starting with lnbc, usually shown with a QR code, which specifies the exact amount and has an expiry time. Expiry windows commonly range from about ten minutes to an hour. You scan or paste the invoice into a Lightning-capable wallet and approve the payment.
Three practical points:
1. Your wallet must support Lightning. Many exchange wallets and dedicated Lightning wallets do; a basic on-chain Bitcoin wallet does not.
2. If the invoice expires before you pay, no money moves. Simply request a new invoice. Never try to pay an expired invoice or reuse an old one.
3. At casinos, Lightning deposits are in practice BTC only, and withdrawals may still be sent on-chain depending on the casino, so check how you will be paid out before you rely on it.
For small, frequent deposits in Bitcoin, Lightning is usually the cheapest and fastest option where it is available.
Most lost deposits come from a handful of avoidable mistakes. Run through this list every time, and especially the first time you use a new casino or network.
1. Pick a network that both your wallet or exchange and the casino support for that exact coin. For USDT, TRC-20 and Solana are the most widely supported low-fee options.
2. Copy the deposit address from the casino cashier each time rather than reusing an old one from your history. Casinos sometimes rotate addresses.
3. Check whether a memo, tag or comment is required, and copy it exactly if so.
4. After pasting, compare the full address with the cashier, including the characters in the middle. Clipboard malware and lookalike addresses can match the first and last characters of the real one.
5. Check the minimum deposit for that network and make sure the amount that arrives, after fees, is above it.
6. For your first deposit on a new network, send a small test amount and wait for it to be credited before sending the rest.
7. Keep the transaction ID (hash). If anything goes wrong, support will ask for it, and you can look it up yourself on a block explorer.
8. Make sure you hold a little of the network's own coin (TRX, SOL, TON, ETH or BNB) to pay fees when sending from a personal wallet.
Finally, casino deposits are for adults of legal gambling age only, and you should only deposit what you can afford to lose. Choosing a cheaper network saves fees, but it does not change the house edge of the games.
